Fuel feed pumps are installed in the fuel tanks of cars and ensure the supply of fuel from the fuel tank to the engine. This is the so-called low-pressure circuit of the fuel system. In newer vehicles, a high-pressure pump (the high-pressure part of the fuel system) is then included in the fuel circuit. The active part of our fuel feed pumps consists of a drive unit based on an electric motor combined with a turbine wheel drive for gasoline versions or a gear pump for diesel versions. This drive unit is installed in a fuel reservoir with an anti-vibration structure, a coarse fuel filter is installed upstream of the drive unit, and a fine fuel filter is installed downstream of the unit. According to customer requirements, the fuel unit is equipped with a pressure sensor and, for some customers, an electronic control optimization unit.
